Love to farm

Welcome friends and future customers. Even though it will be several years before the farm is actually selling anything, we’ve already started our adventure and hope to keep you updated as we move through our plan.

Our farm is located in Enville, TN about 4 miles north of Milledgeville, TN. It’s a beautiful piece of property with a big pond, hills, pastures and some great woodlands. I also have a big workshop.

I have several farm heroes. One of them is Joel Salatin at Polyface Farms. I’ve read several of his books including You Can Farm, Salad Bar Beef, Pastured Poultry Profits, and Holy Cows And Hog Heaven: The Food Buyer’s Guide To Farm Friendly Food.

Another hero is Ethan Book from Iowa. His blog The Beginning Farmer is a great read. He shares all the challenges, dreams and ideas of a family that is starting to farm

Getting it fixed up

I know it can be hard to get contractors to come out and give you bids on work, but living out in the country it's even harder.

I have spent a good deal of time on the phone and then meeting contractors to do the work. I still say any day on the farm is a good day. I look forward to the end of May and seeing the kids out on the farm.

Well, we now own a farm in TN.
